Beach Haven Hop Sauce Festival 2018
Oh my gosh, what a great time!!! I went to the visit some of the vendors at The 2018 Hop Sauce Festival in Beach Haven today. I met some of the most amazing people with products ranging from hot sauces, pickles, salsa and mustards to craft beer and local fare. "The Hop Sauce Fest was created in 2014 and is run by Jetty (clothing brand) and Spice It Up (gourmet store). This event benefits our community by raising funds through The Jetty Rock Foundation." https://jettylife.com/pages/jetty-rock-foundation
All the participating vendors I spoke with share a common theme....They all rely on local and/or organic products. I met some that make it a point to effect our local food chain by purchasing, or in some cases partnering up with New Jersey farmers. I love it!! New Jersey is the Garden State and to see so many vendors take pride in not just the product they produce, but also where they purchase supplies from was refreshing. The music was getting underway and I needed to leave so I could write this and put together a little video of some of the interviews I was able to capture. Please take a few minutes... okay, maybe more than a few, and listen to the vendors from their own words. They are really cool.
