15 Trick Or Treat Safety Tips For Your Little Witches Ghouls And Goblins
With trick or treat rapidly approaching, here are a few safety tips to make sure your witches, ghouls and goblins have a fun and safe adventure.
1: Pick the right size costume. Costume should fit properly to avoid tripping hazards and allow for a full range of motion.
2: Keep it bright. The brighter the childs costume is, the easier they will be to see in low light conditions.
3: Try makeup instead of a mask. Masks can hinder a childs view. Put your artistry to work and get creative.
4: Test out the makeup: Try applying a small amount of the makeup to the childs skin beforehand to make sure there is no allergic reaction.
5: Use non flammable fabrics: Choose costumes made of nylon, polyester or acrylic.
6: Arm you child with glow sticks: Glow sticks are a cheap and easy way to add more light and to make a child more visible.
7: Go as a group: The more the merrier.
8: Always stay with the little monsters: Adults should always stay with younger children.
9: Choose homes wisely: Pick the brightest homes to go to.
10: Never enter a home: Advise your kids never to enter a strangers home.
11: Follow the rules of the road: Adults should drive more cautiously on trick or treat and kids should try to use crosswalks and sidewalks.
12: Check out the candy: Dump the candy out on the table and check it out. Dont eat partially unwrapped candy and throw out anything that looks like it may have been tampered with.
13: Be alert for allergens: Allergies can be a nightmare. Make sure to check whats in the candy before feeding to a child with allergies.
14: As darkness falls the bigger kids come out: Be mindful that bigger kids in scarier costumes tend to come out at night. Early trick or treating is usually better for the little ones.
15: BRUSH BRUSH BRUSH: Brush those chompers good after digging into your hard earned treasure!
Have a safe and very HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
